This article is complete BS!

I lived in London from '71 through '76, and I traveled frequently by air across the Atlantic and thorughout Europe. Of the dozen or so carriers I used, NONE had anything remotely like the level of 'luxury' or comfort described here.

The food was, with few exceptions, far from great in coach class. One exception was Air France; Another was TAP Air Portugal. Both had WAY better than average food. (The worst offerings came, in my experience, from Aeroflot, the Russian carrier. And they actually threatened to turn the plane back to St Petersburg (then Leningrad) if all passengers didn't return the cheap plastic cuttlery!)

I can't imagine where the author of this piece came up with all his fanciful ideas. He may possibly have "invaluable knowledge" in some field, but it certainly has nothing to do with air travel in the '70s!
